I'm attending a Cookie Exchange party this weekend, hosted by one of my dearest colleagues. I've been scouring the web for festive cookie ideas and thought I'd share them here, in case you are also attending one (or even hosting one) this holiday season and are also looking for ideas and recipes.

Thankful for Thanksgiving Party Printables

Still looking for table setting ideas for Thanksgiving dinner, but think you've waited too long to pull off anything really creative and elegant? Isn't that something to be thankful for?! First off, my all-time favorite party printables designer and friend, Bird from BirdCrafts, offers up her Happy Thanksgiving collection.

Hostess with the Mostess is offering its Grateful Mod Thanksgiving collection in support of a great cause, Operation Give Thanks, which furthers the cause of Operation Shower. This is the collection I'm using for my "Traditional/Mod Thanksgiving".

TomKat Studio is also offering its Give Thanks collection in support of Operation Shower.

Traditional/Mod Thanksgiving

Remember the "Mod" Thanksgiving Printables that I featured from Hostess with the Mostess? Well, as I said, I loved them so much, I had to incorporate them (and my son's acorns and leaves) into the Thanksgiving tablescape I'm planning for our Thanksgiving this year. Take a look.

"Mod" Thanksgiving

I absolutely adore this "mod" Thanksgiving table from my favorite blog of all time, Hostess with the Mostess!! For our family Thanksgiving this year, I planned to go a little more traditional--just yesterday, I had my son help me gather up acorns, leaves and other items from our back yard for our tablescape (more on that later)--but I love this collection so much, I absolutely have to incorporate these printables...as well as my son's natural treasure! So, I'm changing my theme from "traditional" to "traditional/mod"! I hope it will look great, but who knows, it may just come out looking confused...we'll see soon enough!!

Lilac Baby Shower

Do you remember the sneak peak of the lilac baby shower from a couple of weeks ago? Well, the shower was this weekend and it was a huge success! At the last party I featured on the blog, the Halloween dessert buffet was the star of the show. At this shower, a different type of (inedible) cake served as the focal point! :-)  I used lots of paper flowers throughout as the uniting theme. The party favors were lavender recipe cards (lavender ice cream, cookies, brie, salmon, vinaigrette etc.) and sachets of lavender.
