Recipe: Bite-Size Caprese Salad Appetizers

I got home from work the other day and wanted to make a Caprese Salad to accompany our dinner. I didn't have any large tomatoes and didn't fancy a trip to the, I got creative! I had grape tomatoes, so I decided to make bite-sized Caprese Salad appetizers. Take a look. I think these would make a great appetizer for a party too!

Here's the recipe...

Grape Tomatoes
Fresh Mozerella Cheese
Fresh basil leaves
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Kosher Salt
Cracked Black Pepper

Slice the top and bottom off each tomato, cut in half, and place on a dish with the middle up. Cut each mozerella ball in half and place on top of each tomato half. Top with chopped basil, olive oil and salt and pepper to taste. Easy!

  1. This is one of my favorite party foods. Though yours look a lot prettier than when I make them. I always stick a toothpick in the middle to make them easy to grab/eat.
