Hi folks!!
An update is long overdue, I know! I've been hard at work planning lots of fun things...more on that to come...in the meantime, here's a peek at the invitations for the Spiderman party.
I cut the black "web" for Spiderman's face using my electronic cutter!
Even with a cutter, it took hours to make 30 of these!!
The party details are printed on vellum, layered over a comic book page.
And to add the finishing touch, I hand-stamped the envelopes with a skyscraper stamp.
So, what do you think? Feedback, please!

ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the actual party pics too:)
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome!! My soon to be 5 year old son's party is Spider Man themed this year!! Where did you find the city skyline stamp?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the kind words. I found the skyline stamp on clearance at Hobby Lobby a few months ago!
ReplyDeleteFor the black webbing on the face what electronic cutting machine did you use. I have a Cricut and can't find a Spiderman cartridges
ReplyDeleteI too have a cricut and have been looking for ways to create spiderman. How did you do the web on the face?
ReplyDeleteI am very curious as to how you made the spiderman face & what electronic cutter? I have a cricut also. Got a party in 2.5 weeks.
ReplyDeleteI have a cricut machine I love your idea how can I make the web for the face.
ReplyDeleteHello, can you let me know what electronic cutter you used? I would love to make these amazing invitations for my son's birthday. I lave a cricut as well but sadly they do not have a Spiderman cartridge. Thank you for any help!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the comments on the invitations. You cannot make these invitations on the Cricut, since there is no cartridge, but many other cutters allow you to design your own graphics on the computer and cut them--try Craftwell eCraft, Black Cat Cougar/Lynx, Boss Kut Gazelle, Pazzles Inspiration, Silhouette, USCutter.
ReplyDeletewhere can i order
ReplyDeleteSorry I don't have a shop associated with my blog, although I've had many requests that I start one. Maybe one day!
ReplyDeleteThis is AMAZING. Like Amazing Spiderman kind of amazing. You did a great job on these! I found your site on the web (I know, I'm horrible with puns) and I just had to comment about how great a job you did on these invites and the party!

Evening Smita! I am beyond IMPRESSED and in LOVE with the entire event. I have a Craftwell eCraft, do you know if I can create the invitations using my machine? Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with that particualr machine, but if you can design your own graphics and cut them, then you should be able to.
DeleteThanks for the response! I'm cutting as I type! Did you use a glue stick to put all the pieces together or some other form of glue? Thanks again!

Would you be willing to make 35 of these for me and if so what would the cost be. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI have a cricut and I designed my own Spiderman face in the cricut craftroom. I used a basic shapes circle and made it oval like a face, for the web I used the spider web on the Theresa Collins Chic & Scary cartridge and just sized it to fit the face and for the eyes I used a leaf off the create a critter cartridge. So for all you cricut people....you can do it! :)
ReplyDeleteI love the spiderman birthday invitations. Its awesome, you really did good with the invite. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHow did you attach your vellum to the comic book page? I'm totally stealing this idea, so cute! Thanks for sharing!
